📖 Plot Overview

Bruno, a volatile and politically-involved young man, is known for making more enemies than friends in his hometown. Living by the sea with his mother and sister Steffi, he struggles to find dignity in a society that demands dowry for everything — even for love.

When Steffi is matched with Mariano, a cunning prawn farmer from an island, the family is forced into a shady gold-for-gift-exchange deal with Ajesh, a desperate middleman. But when the deal collapses and the gold goes missing, it sparks a twisted chase, betrayal, and vengeance across land and water.

As secrets unravel and loyalties are tested, Steffi and Ajesh find themselves at the crossroads of justice and survival, culminating in a tense showdown during the island’s grand church feast.
